Peru Issues Final Anti-Dumping Ruling on Textile Material Footwear from China

On July 14, 2024, the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property of Peru (INDECOPI), through its Committee on Dumping, Subsidies, and Elimination of Non-Tariff Trade Barriers, published Official Bulletin No. 043-2024/CDB-INDECOPI in “El Peruano” newspaper. The announcement details a final anti-dumping ruling on textile material footwear (Spanish: las zapatillas con la parte superior de material textil) originating from China.

The ruling establishes a minimum price of $8.29 per pair and imposes anti-dumping duties on the relevant manufacturers/exporters (see attached table). Products imported at prices above this minimum will not be subject to anti-dumping duties. The affected products fall under the following Peruvian tariff codes: 6404.11.10.00, 6404.11.20.00, 6404.19.00.00, 6404.20.00.00, and 6405.20.00.00. The measures take effect the day after the announcement’s publication and will remain in force for five years.
